Bitesy ("we", "us") is a baby-led weaning app for parents. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we don't run ads, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Account: your email address, used to sign in with a one-time code.
Baby profile: an optional name, birth date and dietary needs you enter, used to filter recipes to your baby's age and diet.
Allergen logs: dates, foods and reaction notes you record in the tracker.
App data: favourites and shopping-list items, synced to your account.
Fridge ideas: the ingredient text you type is sent to our server and an AI model provider to generate meal ideas. It is not used to train models.
Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. Our payments partner RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase record to activate your subscription. We never see your payment details.

What we don't do

No advertising, no ad tracking, no selling or renting personal data.
No collection of data from children — Bitesy is used by adults; information about your baby is entered by you and stays under your control.

Where your data lives

App data is stored with Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, eu-central-1), encrypted in transit. Access is protected by row-level security — only your account can read your data.

Your choices

You can use recipe browsing and guides without an account.
You can edit or remove your baby profile and logs in the app at any time.
To delete your account and all associated data, email us at merveealpay@gmail.com — we delete within 30 days.
EU/UK users: you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your data, and to complain to your supervisory authority.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
